Visual & Interaction Design

At Territory Studio, I contributed to both automotive and entertainment interaction design projects, applying UI design, motion, and interactive prototyping. While the details are under NDA, my role centered on creating scalable design systems, translating complex interactions into beautiful visuals, and ensuring pixel-perfect consistency across displays.

I worked closely with design and developer teams who relied heavily on large component libraries built in Figma. Over time, these libraries had grown extremely complex and inconsistent, which made it harder for designers to move quickly and for developers to interpret intent clearly. My task was to bring clarity and efficiency back into the system.

What I Worked On

The core part of my work was refining the component libraries. I focused on reorganizing hierarchy, streamlining naming conventions, and simplifying layer structures so everything felt more predictable. I also worked on light/dark mode variations, making sure they weren’t just visually consistent but logically connected for easier implementation.

Alongside this, I built developer guides to bridge the gap between design and engineering. These guides didn’t just show static UI, they explained interaction logic, usage context, and best practices. I also spent time cleaning up Figma files to make handoff faster and less error-prone.

I also had the chance to ideate and design new interaction concepts. This was an exciting part of the process, blending 2D and 3D assets to create futuristic interaction experiences. These explorations weren’t just about visual flair; it helped test how motion could guide attention, reinforce usability, and add a sense of delight to the experience.

What I Learned

This project taught me the importance of balancing structure with creativity. On one side, refining a complex design system demanded precision, consistency, and clear documentation. On the other, working on interaction concepts showed me how motion and emerging techniques could push interfaces beyond the ordinary. Together, these experiences sharpened both my systems thinking and my ability to prototype bold, future-facing experiences.
