Context
This project was a deep dive into 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, rendering, and animation—pushing the limits of Blender’s capabilities while refining my own skills in procedural workflows, surface modeling, and cinematic rendering.
The Learning Curve: Mastering Blender in Two Months
Before Aether, I had limited experience with Blender. This project served as both an exploration and an intense learning journey into advanced 3D techniques.
Surface Modeling – Transitioning from traditional CAD-based workflows to Blender’s polygonal modeling.
Shrinkwrap Modifier – Key to refining complex surfaces and panel gaps.
Procedural Texturing – Experimenting with node-based materials for realistic reflections and surface details.
Rigging & Animation – Creating realistic suspension movement, aerodynamics, and camera transitions.
Environment Setup – Crafting dynamic lighting and custom HDRIs for high-impact visuals.
